✨My Learning Journey in Hospitality

Over the past few years, I’ve grown so much through my experiences working with different hotel groups. Each environment taught me something new about service, teamwork, and myself. I’ve learned how to communicate confidently with guests, stay calm during busy periods, and adapt quickly when things don’t go as planned.

One of the biggest lessons for me has been understanding the importance of consistency. Whether it’s showing up on time, maintaining high service standards, or supporting the people I work with, these small actions make a huge difference. I’m proud of how far I’ve come, and I feel more prepared than ever to take on new challenges and responsibilities in the hospitality industry.

Being a finalist at WorldSkills Ireland 2025 was a turning point for me. It pushed me outside my comfort zone and showed me what I’m capable of when I work hard and believe in myself. It also made me realise how much I enjoy improving my craft and learning from others who share the same passion.

Looking ahead, my goal is to continue growing within the hospitality sector. I want to strengthen my leadership skills, take on more responsibility, and eventually work my way toward supervisory or management roles. I’m motivated by the idea of creating great guest experiences and being part of a team that values professionalism, communication, and high standards. Each step I take brings me closer to the future I’m building for myself.
